Cantine di Marzo Greco di Tufo DOCG – Italy €27.00

Made with one of Italy’s most expressive grapes, Greco in the DOCG area of Greco di Tufo on volcanic soil. The wine has bergamot, lemon peel, anise, jasmine and some marked smoky minerality flavours and is best friends with shellfish and seafood.

Domaine les Salices Chardonnay Pays d’Oc – France €15.95

Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from a cool climate site on limestone soils. Aromas and flavours of spicy stone fruit with creamy and nutty notes with some subtle toasty hints on the palate. A great all rounder and crowd pleasing wine.

Rosé de Reynier Bordeaux Rosé – France €18.95

Made from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot in a light ‘Provence’ style.  It has a crisp fruit driven style with summer berry fruit, creamy notes and hints of fresh candied fruit. Long and refreshing.

Casata Monfort Pinot Nero, Trentino – Italy €26.00

Alto Adige and Trentino both in the foothills of the Alps are capable of producing elegant expressions of Pinot Noir and this wine is no exception. It has lots of red fruit (redcurrant and cranberry) liquorice and  smokey notes and is silky and smooth on the palate. Lovely with lamb and game.

Flor do Coa Douro Reserva Red, Douro – Portugal €19.50

Made on the Boal family estates high in the Douro Valley this is a great introduction to the wines of the area. Smooth ripe tannins frame blackberry, wild herb, spice and graphite notes to the fore in a well balanced wine.

Chateau Roland La Garde Tradition Cotes de Bordeaux Blaye – France, €26.00

A plush and fruit forward Bordeaux with enough character to satisfy the tradtional Bordeaux punter. Made organically and biodynamically from Merlot with some Cabernet Sauvignon for ballast. Full, rich and complex and a great partner with lamb and red meats.
