Zaferiakis Limniona Young Vines
Made with the youngest Limniona vines on the estate the wine sees a little less oak ageing than the regular Limniona cuveé. The wine is juciy with soft red cherry fruit, a slight herbal character with spice and nice balanced freshness. Think of a Beaujolais Cru with a more savoury edge and this is what this Limniona gives you – the body is above medium bodied with smooth fine grained with a long freah finish.

Christos Zafeirakis is the 4th generation of the Zafeirakis family to produce wine in PGI Tirnavos an area north of Athens in the foothills of Mount Olympus, Their 20hA estate is organically certified and planted mainly with the indigenous Limniona for reds and Malagousia for whites. The calling card of the estate is the complex, mineral reds they craft with Limniona which are well worth discovering!
