Riesling Kabinett Schumann Nagler

Schumann Nagler are one of the oldest estates in our portfolio having made wine for the last 575 years! At the helm is Fred and wife Ulrike Schumann with son David, the winemaker since 2003. Their other son Philipp looks after the commercial end of the business. The Schumann’s work the vineyards organically without certification and their vines are planted in some of the best sites in the Rheingau – like Hattenheimer Wisselbrunnen and Geisenheimer Rothenberg. Above all this is Riesling land – it thrives here at altitude and on the loam, slate and shale soils giving a purity of fruit and minerality to the wines.
