Insoumis – Faugeres Rouge
A lively fruity yet complex blend from Mas Onésime in Faugeres. This is a Cinsault, Carignan, Syrah & Grenache blend that is vinified without any oak ageing. Lots of red and dark fruits of the forest with some lifted violet and garrigue notes on the nose. On the palate the wine has smooth, ripe tannins, medium to full body and a lovely balancing acidity that keeps the wine fresh and very drinkable.

Mas Onésime
Mas Onésime is owned and run by Olivier Villaneuve in Cabrerolles a key winemaking area within the Faugeres AOC. The 20hA estate is organically and biodynamically farmed with low yielding old vines planted on poor schist soils. The main grape varieties planted are Carignan, Mourvedre, Syrah and Grenache. Olivier philosophy is to make fresh, balanced drinkable wines with fruit very much to the fore.
