Made from hand picked grapes spontaneously fermented in the cellar, this is a pure fruited full bodied blend aged 16 months in oak. Dark fruit, toast, graphite, spicy notes and tobacco contribute to a smooth, rich and satisfying wine.

Boal Family Estates
We discovered Antonio Boal’s wines on a recent trip to Lisbon (February 2020) and after making contact he drove down to meet us the next day (he doesn’t let the grass grow under his feet!). Antonio is the 4th generation of the Boal family to run the Quintas in Douro Superior and the neighbouring area of Tras os Montes and is aided and abetted by award winning winemaker Paolo Nunes. The vines are farmed sustainably with natural fermentation in the cellar, resulting in balanced and refreshing wines.
