Domaine les Salices Pinot Noir

A beautifully fragrant wine that lies somewhere between the New World and Burgundy style Pinot.

Classically produced with pre-fermentation cold soaking and a partial post-fermentation ageing in 2nd and 3rd use oak barrels. With notes of red cherry, cranberry with spicy liquorice, balsamic and smoky hints, the wine has silky tannins and nice roundness on the palate.

Domaine les Salices

Domaine les Salices is owned by Francois Lurton of the famous Lurton family. Francois has spread his wings in the last few decades from the family base in Bordeaux to make wines in South America and Spain as well as his holdings in the south of France. Les Salices is a cooler climate site located north-east of Carcasonne on limestone soils ideal for producing juicy yet balanced wines from classic varieties like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The wines are very true to their variety and offer great value for money.
