A lovely collection that encompasses the now familiar regions of Vinho Verde, Douro and Alentejo. Included are 2 crisp whites from Northern Portugal and 4 deep and complex reds from up and coming award winning producers.

Pluma, Vinho Verde DOC – €14.95

A great introduction to the crisp, linear, aromatic white wines from Vinho Verde in Northern Portugal. Lime and herbaceous notes with lively acidity and trademark spritz on the palate.

Flor do Tua Reserva White, Tras Os Montes – €19.50

A blend of 2 grapes this is a refreshing and textured wine showing stone fruit, touches of minerality and spice. If you like Godello from north-east Spain then this is a wine for you.

Barrancoa Red, Alentejo – €17.95

A wonderfully juicy blend of Aragonez, Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet. Bordering on the full bodied the wine is packed full of loganberry and plum fruits with exotic spices and refined mocha notes.

Flor do Coa Douro Reserva – €19.50

A Douro blend made from old vines and aged in oak for 12 months. Smooth ripe tannins frame blackberry, wild herb, spice and graphite notes. A great introduction to the red wines of the estate.

Pato Frio Red, Alentejo – €19.95

A delicious and fresh red wine from the Alentejo. A blend of Aragonez, Alfrocheiro and Alicante Bouschet it is tending towards the full bodied but excellent acidity levels keeps the wine fresh and moreish. The flavours include both red and dark fruits, touches of balsamic, lifted violet and hedgerow notes with some dark chocolate hints.

Gaudio Classico. Alentejo – €26.00

A blend of Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Iinta Muida and aged for 7 months in new French oak. There is always a decent amount of bottle ageing before release which leads to complex and mellow flavours. Red and dark fruits are complemented by sanguine and meaty notes with leather and spices. Complex, refined and mellow.
