Chateau Pichon Longueville Pauillac 2GCC

The 2007 is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Grape harvest took place from September 21st to October 9th. On the nose, the wide aromatic range reveals notes of vanilla, tobacco and black fruits – cassis with some red fruit – along with herbal cues. There are subtle hints of barrel spice and cigar box. It is smooth and sweet with fine tannins and a nice, long finish. Still has lots of freshness, energy and fruit with fully integrated tannin. Now mature and ready for drinking. Elegance and finesse sum up this very special wine, for very special occasions.

Chateau Pichon Longueville

This is the posh end of Bordeaux. Pichon Longueville, one of the 15 Second Growths of the Bordeaux Classification of 1855, is located in Pauillac AC. Each vintage might be a blend of Cabernets Sauvignon & Franc, Merlot and/or Petit Verdot from vines on well-drained gravel and sand soil. Viticulture and vinification on this property is meticulous with careful selection and consideration at every stage of the process. There’s not much more we can say other than it’s pretty much Bordeaux royalty and makes seriously good wine.
