Red wine
Castello Trebbio Chianti Superiore
A flavoursome wine that pairs well with red meats and pasta dishes. Sangiovese is blended with Canaiolo, Colorino and Ciliegiolo here and aged for 6 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. Red berry fruit with notes of rosemary and spice with some minerality – a little above medium bodied with fine grained tannins.

Castello del Trebbio
A beautiful estate close to Florence owned by Anna Baj Macario and husband Stefano Casadei. This is a property with a storied history and a great place for a tour and tasting if you happen to be in Florence. Owned originally by Pazzi family, it was subsequently ‘taken over’ by the di Medici family during a power struggle in the 15th century. In modern and happily more peaceful times, Anna’s family took over and today they farm the property organically making excellent Chiantis.
