Making wine since 1838 Bodegas Gutierrez Colosia are based in the third town of the Sherry triangle, El Puerto de Santa Maria. Their location within the town is key to the character of the wines being a riverside location a stone’s throw from the seafront. The wines gain a saline fresh aspect with excellent Fino, and complex rich Amontillados and Olorosos. The Bodega is run by the latest 2 generations of the family, there’s a nice Irish connection too as the grandmother of the current owners (on the maternal side) hails from Co. Tipperary.
