Black Friday Case
A delicious blend of Zweigelt, Blaufrankisch and St. Laurent. Cherry and cranberry with spicy notes and soft approachable tannins. Its juicy core has won a lot of fans. This is for fans of Pinot Noir or Beaujolais. Drinks well with a slight chill in warmer weather.
An elegant Pinot Nero made from grapes grown at 500M asl. Lots of red fruit (redcurrant and cranberry) liquorice, smoke and some trademark forest floor aromas and tastes. Silky and smooth on the palate with medium body and a nice long finish.
100% Nero d’Avola partially aged in barrel for 6-8 months. Benchmark Nero d’Avola flavours here with loganberry, cherry and liquorice – smooth, ripe and intense.
100% Cannonau with red fruits, fruits of the forest, mediterranean herbs and spicy notes. A little above medium bodied with very approachable tannins, it’s a juicy easy drinking wine to enjoy with or without food.
The so called “black wine of Cahors” has come a long way with Chevalier du Chateau Lagrezette. This is a complex but balanced wine. With up to 14 months in French oak it shows licorice and menthol in addition to ripe black fruit. Michel Rolland is the consultant winemaker at Lagrezette and his experience of working with Malbec in Argentina has been used to maximum effect at Chateau Lagrezette. This wine won a Gold Award at the Concours des Feminalise in Beaune.
This is a re-discovered grape variety that disappeared during the days of phylloxera. Defined black fruit – blackberries, currants and plums. It is only 11.4% ABV with a juicy and spicy mid-palate finish. If you are looking for something different, this is novel, eclectic and exciting.
