Domaine les Salices Chardonnay €15.95
Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes and aged for 6 months in oak which imbues the wine with a lovely mouthfeel. The wine has flavours of spicy stone fruit with creamy and nutty notes with some subtle toasty hints. Round and rich on the palate with a lovely fresh finish.
100% Pecorino and an excellent introduction to the grape style. Stone fruit with some spicy notes, it also carries minerality and plenty of life in a long crisp finish.
Domaine de Moulines Cabernet Sauvignon €14.95
An unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon with lots and lots of character made from organically grown grapes. On the nose there is spice, touches of capsicum with blackcurrant and cassis typical of the variety. The palate has the same dark fruits with a bit of lifted violet with nice silky tannins. A delightful wine that registers a little higher on the body scale than the estate’s Merlot.
A fresh and unoaked Primitivo with ripe soft tannins. Notes of dark cherry and plum with sweet spice (touches of Turkish delight) and caramel notes. Full bodied, smooth yet balanced and not over the top.
La Ganghija Langhe Nebbiolo €23.95
Benchmark Nebbiolo showing plenty of the trademark roses and tar – red cherry fruit with notes of liquorice and wild herbs. Fine grained tannins coat the wine but the fruit and the complex aromatics all make for a very satisfying and balanced wine.
Panxut Red Bonicaire Valencia DO €24.95
A single vineyard wine made from old vine Bonicaire. Remarkably fresh with red and blue fruit, liquorice and spice. This is a wine with a lot of energy that would appeal to lovers of Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir.
