Perricone is an old indigenous variety from Sicily. Organically grown grapes are pressed and fermented with barrel ageing and minimal sulphur addition at bottling. The wine has a bit more tannic bite than the other wines with lots of dark fruit with earthy and spicy notes. Full bodied and rich with plenty of complexity.

Valdibella
Valdibella is a very small co-operative winery with 6 members farming 38hA south of Palermo in Sicily. Their aim is to produce pure wines close to nature and are organically certified using little or in some cases no sulphur additions in the winery. The main variety is Nero d’Avola with Perricone and other indigenous grapes – the wines are rich, fruit filled and pure.
