Bodegas Biurko is owned and run by the Llorens family in the cooler part of Rioja at the foot of the Sierra Cantabria. Certified organic since 1998 the vineyards are carefully managed to produce healthy grapes in small quantities. The philosophy of the estate is to produce pure fruited wines with oak playing no part or only a supporting role in the wines – the results are clean, characterful and very well priced modern Riojas.
